Interior design: Lior Leibovich
The central idea of the project was to incorporate design elements reminiscent of the city’s historic walls, while using modern and refined elements in the hotel rooms.
To support the design concept, a dominant headboard was designed that abstractly incorporates the image of the city’s walls and includes geometries found in the hotel lobby. This way, a guest entering the hotel experiences the theme from the entrance to the hotel all the way to their room. Maintaining this “story” is a very important element in planning the experience and ambiance. The rooms are softened with carpets and textiles that evoke a design memory pointing to ancient times. The carpets and textiles contrast in both color and patterns with the furniture, wallpaper, and other accessories in the room, thus contributing to the feeling of old/new. The rooms, however, are equipped with the latest modern amenities
